HOW DO I ACTIVATE MY SIM?

After Receiving your SIM CARD please follow the instructions below:
Place SIM CARD into your device.
Come back to www.popitmobile.co.uk and click on ‘Activate’ or Use the My Popit App.
Once your SIM has activated you will receive a confirmation text to your Popit number.
Insert your SIM CARD into your device correctly then Turn on Mobile data, Turn on Data Roaming and (Your device should now pick up signal automatically).
If this does not work please (Enter APN settings)
Enter a valid email address and your Popit SIM number (located on your SIM CARD).
Click ‘Activate Sim’ again. (Please note that activation can take up to 60 seconds)
PLEASE NOTE. After SIM CARD activation it can take up to 24 hours for your bundle to be ready to use.

HOW WILL I KNOW IF MY SIM IS ACTIVE?

Once your SIM CARD has activated, you will receive a text to your Popit number. Place your SIM CARD into your device correctly and turn on Mobile data. This should now be active.

HOW DO I ADD MORE DATA?

Click My Popit at the top or the bottom of the page and enter your email address or mobile number and the password you received when you activated your account, select either BOLT ON or TOP UP to find what you are looking for. Alternatively Click on BOLT ON or TOP UP at the top or bottom of the page and select the additional months you require.

CAN I KEEP MY EXISTING NUMBER?

Of course, we are The No Nonsense Network after all.
If you wish to keep your existing number, It’s easy. You will need to ask your current provider for a PAC Number (Porting Authorisation Code).
Simply text ‘PAC’ to 65075 from your current mobile phone. You’ll receive a code in 60 seconds.

Log into your My Popit, go to Sims/Packages, click change and select bring your Number to Popit. Here you can input your Porting Authorisation Code and the number you wish to keep.

Porting can take up to 2 working days to complete but may take longer if requested on a Friday or Weekend.

HOW DO I TURN ON MOBILE DATA?

This will depend on the device you are using. Go to Google and type: How do I turn on mobile data on my (The device you are using) Once you have turned on Data (Your device should now pick up signal automatically. If this is not the case (Enter APN settings for your SIM), see FAQ’s for more information.

PAYMENT FEQUENCY, HOW DOES IT WORK

Popit is an auto renewal subscription. Unless you tell us before your renewal that you wish to cancel or opt for a on hold fee of £1 per month (if you travel and use it purely for data). Upon Activation your first auto renewal payment will be 28 days from activation and then 30 days there after. Please see legal as Roaming changes some eligibility .

RESET NETWORK SETTINGS

If you are using IOS go to Settings, General, Transfer or Reset Device, Reset, Reset Network Settings.

If you are using Android go to Settings, System, Advanced, Reset Options, Reset Network Settings, tap Reset Settings.

HOW CAN I CHECK MY USAGE AND BALANCE?

Visit My Popit at the top or bottom of the page and enter your email address or mobile number and the password you received when you activated your account, If you have forgotten your password please click (Forgotten password) and a reset password link will be emailed directly to you.

HOW DO I CHANGE THINGS IN MY ACCOUNT?

Click on My Popit at the top or bottom of the page and enter your email address or mobile number and the password received when you activated your account, Here you can find everything you need. If you have forgotten this click (Forgotten password) and a reset password link will be emailed directly to you.

HOW CAN I ADD EXTRAS ON TO MY ACCOUNT?

Click on the TABS at the top of the page and select BOLT ON or TOP UP to find what EXTRAS you are looking for.

ROAM LIKE AT HOME

Here at Popit we still offer Roam Like at Home (on all subscriptions as default) In all 41 countries of Zone 1: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Faroe Islands, Finland, France, French Guiana, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Guadeloupe, Guernsey, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Isle Of Man, Italy, Jersey, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Martinique, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Reunion Island, Romania, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland.
You can use all your data allowance while away. You are due to fair usage while roaming and your phone call should be cut off after 2 hours per call, but then you would be able to make another call right away.

WILL I KNOW WHEN MY ALLOWANCE RUNS OUT?

You can see this by clicking on My Popit at the top of the page and enter your email address or mobile number and the password received when you activated your account, At the top of the screen you will see your usage. If any of these are on “0″ you are out of credit/data. Don’t worry, you can top-up from your account and it will be activated within minutes.

ARE YOU USING A ROUTER?

If you are using a router and your sim doesn’t work after activation, please check your APN settings are: Name: EE Internet APN: everywhere Username: eesecure Password: secure MMSC: http://mms/ MMS Proxy: 8080 Authentification Type: PAP APN Type: internet+MMS Alternatively some routers do not allow the first hidden text to be accepted, please place the sim into a mobile phone make a call and put back into your router.

PARENTAL CONTROLS NOT ABLE TO USE SOCIAL MEDIA AND MESSENGER APPS?

This will be due to the default Strict Data policy in Parental Controls. To change this login to My Popit, select My Sims. Click show/change and scroll down. there you will find Parental Controls. Select which level you prefer and click change. You will receive a text and give it 30 mins turn your phone on and off and you will be able to use the social media apps.

IS TETHERING INCLUDED?

Yes, all subscriptions allow Tethering.

DO I HAVE CALL WAITING AND WHAT IS IT?

YES. Call waiting is a service where a person can accept a second incoming telephone call by placing an in-progress call on hold and may also switch between calls. We also combine additional features such as conferencing, call forwarding, and caller ID.

WHAT IS VoLTE?

VoLTE calls are voice calls made over the 4G LTE network. They have superior audio quality to regular phone calls made over the standard voice network. VoLTE lets you talk and use 4G LTE data simultaneously, and conduct up to six-way conference calls.

WHAT IS WIFI CALLING?

Can’t get a signal? That’s not an issue. Whether you’re at home, at the shops or even catching the waves at the local water park. If you’re having a signal problem, WiFi Calling lets you make and receive calls and texts using WiFi, even if there isn’t mobile network coverage. And 4G wifi calling will allow you to make calls over 4G, meaning even clearer calls than before. 

HOW FAST IS 5G?

5G networks are designed to achieve a peak download speed of 20 Gbps and peak upload speed of 10 Gbps. The average rates are more like 100 Mbps for downloads and 50 Mbps for uploads. 
For comparison, the maximum theoretical data speeds for 4G LTE are 150 Mbps for downloads and 50 Mbps for uploads, with an average download speed of 20 Mbps and an average upload speed of 10 Mbps.
In other words, 5G’s average data speed is five times faster than 4G, and in theory, it could reach speeds more than 100 times faster.
